Multiple Domains

Mailtraq Version: 2.17.7.3598

We recently acquired another small company and have migrated their email to Mailtraq. They have their own email domain. The user names have been unique up to this point. Mailtraq has the Domain Name set up in the Server Properties, and then there are additional Domain Aliases that we have entered.
New email addresses get the primary domain by default, but we'd like to find a way around that.

We would like to create unique mailboxes like 'shipping@example1' and 'shipping@example2'.

Is this possible?

This is what the 2.18 builds were designed for but I don't think they made it out of beta, officially. Migrating would require some reconfiguration - and changes to the database structure - although I vaguely remember Elric saying that reverting to 2.17 wouldn't be tricky. I jumped to 2.18 by mistake(!) when there was a mix up with the published versions but it didn't take long to configure and I've not felt the need to go back to 2.17.

I'm on 2.18.327.3566 but there are more recent versions (e.g., 3590, 3594 & 3596) but I think some, or all, gave me grief with authentication on iPhone (imap). I should try 3596 again...

There may also be workarounds for 2.17 but I'm rusty on that.

I'm not familiar with the 2.18 version. Looks like there has been a bit of work done since my version, but I don't see any of the 2.18 (beta or otherwise) versions. I actually don't see my version either. The latest version I see is 3.17.7.3560 from Feb 2015! (I was given a link to our current 3598 version)
I'm currently looking for a replacement for Mailtraq due to its 'orphaned' status - or at least it seems to be. What do you know about Mailtraq's future?

Hi Spkeller,
I've been on the multi-domain version for some time and currently run 3596. It has been working quite well. When I had a problem with a certificate chain, I emailed support and they responded immediately.
