MT 1 - inserting tabs

Postby Paul » Mon Aug 28th, 2006 1:13am

I'm still on M1 which I got many years ago when Eldric lived in the UK.
Its been an extremely good and flexible product.

Can I insert TABs into a string in M1? For example something like \t ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I don't think there's an escape sequence but you might be able to grab one up from a file, e.g., chars.txt in \db
Code: Select all
[main]
tab=

... and this sort of thing
Code: Select all
tab := DBRead("chars.txt", "main", "tab");

tab_string := "t" ++ tab ++ "a" ++ tab ++ "b";
test_file := CreateFile("tab-test.txt");
Write(test_file, tab_string);
CloseFile(test_file)
