A small script like a conditional forwarding script really

Postby sdresearch » Tue Apr 21st, 2015 3:07pm

Hi All

I wonder if anyone has a script that I can use for forwarding mail under certain conditions; namely if user A is on the "To" list, but user B is not on the "To" or the "cc", then forward the email to user B. This will help when user A is on holiday and their boss can can get the email so can answer any queries.

Its not that difficult I suspect, but I am a newbie:(

Thanks David

I'm not sure if this answers precisely what you wanted, but you could set up an "alias" - well documented in the help file - such that all mails for User A (by recipient, irrespective of who is in the message's "To:" field, so that will include Cc and Bcc, conceptually) are delivered to both User A and User B.

Thanks Malc, that's not quite what I want. I remember Jim Hill had some scripts on a ftp site but I have lost the link. Do you have that by chance or even Jim's email address

Thanks

Jim's site appears down at present. I'll see if I can make contact.
